147 Ducati Clutch & VDC issues
Just had a quick look through the threads with reference to my thread title.
Car is 58 plate 147 Ducati Corse with 12k miles. The engine is producing 200bhp/300 lbft, which is due to a remap over the standard 170bhp/240lbft.
Over the last couple of weeks I've noticed that any fairly hard acceleration (i.e. when you want to overtake quickly) in 6th and now in 5th, it appears that the clutch slips -- revs increased immediately by about 1000rpm e.g 2000revs up to 3000, and then the car accelerates. I haven't noticed this happen in any other gear apart from 5th or 6th.
I don't drive like an idiot, so no full bore standing starts and dropping the clutch. Should the clutch start slipping after 12k miles with a fairly modset remap? - its due its 1st service very soon anyway,
Also, 2 or 3 times now, i've had VDC failure, and one time, ABS failure, come up on the display. It cleared after switching off and restarting, I'm pretty sure its not the battery as other threads suggest -- should I mention these failure messages when it goes for the service too?
sorry for the fairly long post,
