Coolant Temperature Exceeded
Heading up the M25 Sunday, my GT beeped and the computer told me the Coolant maximum temp had been exceeded. Eased off slightly and the temp guage fell from the 130 it was at back to 90 which is what it normally runs at.
It kept doing this intermittently every time i ventured over 70. Since then, under 70 fine, but over 70 again on the motorway and it did it again.
Plenty of coolant in there, and the way the needle drops after it beeps, can't genuinely be the coolant hitting over 130.
Also, the air con is now pumping out cold air regardless of the temp you put the termostat at.
I suspect these two things may be related and it's probably an electrics/fuse thing. Anyone have any idea of something more specific so i can pretend to the mechanic i know what i'm talking about when i take the inevitable trip to the garage?
