MCSF warning has showed its ugly font on my dash and it's not going away.
The car is a 2004 GT V6 with 130,000km's. The warning appeared after taking a corner waaay to fast with just under a quarter tank of petrol.
I mention the petrol because the exact moment the MCSF warning appeared, my fuel qty. gauge stopped working (indicating empty) and the little low fuel light is now constantly flashing. I have also lost "actual/instant fuel consumption", "average fuel consumption", and "distance to empty" function on my trip computer.
There is definately a loss of torque from 1st to 6th gear. A full tank of petrol, an extra person, or even just the aircon, and the car will not pull away as it used to.
The exhaust tip has turned completely black since this issue started, and the exhaust fumes have become very strong.
What really gets me is that turning the key to ACC (just before the engine kicks over) The fuel QTY gauge works as it should, and indicates the correct fuel level.
The battery was changed back in March/April this year, spark plugs were changed at 120,000km's 2 months ago.
Any help would be greately appreciated!
Thank you all in advanced,
