Alfa 147 - Motor control systems failure after MAF test
I thought i would start a new topic for this rather than hijak someone else's.
In order to further diagnose a problem with my 147 (light jerking at low throttle, engine revs going up when changing up gears after engine has been on for 30mins) I used the often recomended Maf unplug test.
With the Maf unplugged i got the expected MCSF light, but the car refused to idle (this i did not expect). The revs would just dropped. I also got a low battery charge warning but i suspect this is becuase the engine revs dropped to 400rpm a couple of times as i caught it before stalling.
I plugged the Maf back in but the MCSF warning and light have remained.
Have i done something wrong or has my Maf just completely thrown in the towel? I still have the same problems as before, and now this light. Car still seems to have all power so the light doesn't seem to have any effect.
Cheers in advance.
