I have just found out I have the same problem but only with wipers and consol for heater sometimes the fog lights. I first thought it was a water thing, took it to auto electrician no fault found, then I thought it was a voltage thing as it would all come back on eventally so thought it was just after the car had been running for a while (weekend car doesnt do much all week) once voltage back up!! Now after slightly by accident I happen to notice it all came back on after I hit the key and went off if I wiggled it but I now cant get it to do it.

On a 147 GTA

If there is one who can help us both reply away.

There is a plastic surround on the back of the barrell that the conectors plug into the becomes brittle and breaks with age. New one is about 40 and reasonably easy to replace once you can break the security bolts on the stearing colum. Had the same problem earlier this year and mine had all sorts of faults including stopping when you break or engage reverse. Don't worry too much chap a reasonably easy fix in Alfa terms.
