Hmmm Knobly bit

What's the knobly bit in the centre of the dashboard for? It's like a large Smartie just behind the centre air vent.

I thought it might be a light sensor, or maybe a rain sensor. But the lights don't come on automatically when it's dark, and the wipers don't come on when it rains. Maybe it's a PIR for the alarm?

I have the Lusso model so could it be this device isn't connected to anything at all?

It's a sun sensor for the climate control.

Yes, I have got one as well. Always wondered what it was.

Yep, as Craig said, it's a temp/moisture sensor.

All it does is measure the solar radiation hitting the passenger compartment - this allows the climate control to control the temperature more accurately.

It doesn't measure the temperature inside the car - the sensor for that is located in the climate control panel on the dash.
