,could have my first alfa by this afternoon will be looking to get whatever i get looked over asap will look at the thread r.e. local garages/specialists then spend a few quid on getting her looking all swish,if its the 2.4 i suppose i need to take into account the key (a few hundred quid) any last minute tips.
second one looks the best of those lot, though its the most expensive, the money you save on the 2.4 will get you some brand spangly new keys
check all the belts, especially the aux belt, was looking at a 2.4 for my mum about a month ago, and it wasnt there
no warning lights, the old diesels do rattle a bit but there should be no smoke on start up
make sure it drives straight, no major rattles, little knocks over bumps from the front will more than likely be the drop links (not expensive)
and have fun
also bare in mind the 54 plate 1.9 is also the facelift 156, and should be the propper facelift, unlike the half face like mine, so more desirable, and cruise control on all the face lifts, and the 4k is a bargin price if its all ok
