Do i need a new Maf sensor?
I've had this issue intermittently since i had the car.
The warning light on the dash will come on and knock the car into limp home mode! Usual effects i think, power drastically reduces at low revs.
If i turn the engine off and then turn the ignition on and off 5-6 times it will usually go out and the power returns. However sometimes like today it took several attempts over an hour before i could get the warning light to go out.
I had thought that with the massive leaks i had in the exhaust it could be causing the problem but with the new cybox system and the replacement front pipe i have now fitted have sealed it and yet its still a problem.
I have a small leak on a breather pipe nothing major and a split in the induction elbow but that is sealed up with insulation tape so should be ok temporarily.
I cant think of anything else that could be causing the warning light to come on apart from the Maf sensor being duff. I have cleaned it previously with no success.
Can anyone help?
