If its just the plastic trim you're asking about, its not painted (well mine wasn't anyway). Go to tesco and buy "groundnut oil." Its oil made from peanuts and is the active ingredient from the peanut butter that replenishes the plastic. Dead cheap and works a treat. I think it was on this forum that I discovered it, there were before and after pics too - very impressive results.
Just wipe the area down, put a bit of oil on a cloth and rub in. If any gets on the paintwork its best to rub it off. I didn't and it went all sticky, but came off with a good rub the next day. I did mine about 6 weeks ago and it still looks great. Works on all exterior plastic trim.
Good for stir-fries too!!
EDIT: You'll find it either with the cooking oils or beside all the chinesey foods!!
