Alfa 156 Broken petrol cap cover
Filling my 2003 156 I accidentally walked into my open petrol cap cover and it snapped off. The cover has broken at the hinge point, which appears to be some sort of white resin material. Each time I press the button to open the cover, the flap now falls open onto the car hanging by the cord which connects it to the petrol cap and this has progessively created little sratches and marks.
I am sure this is not a common problem, but I am wondering whether anyone has had a repair of this sort. The Alfa garage I called did the usual sharp intake of breath looks like a big costly repair. I am trying to counter that.
Any help out there?
