Hmmm this is so weird

well the day finally came when due to economical conditions i was forced to sell my beloved 156 , this was my first alfa and i loved it . Bought the car last Nov and it never gave me any trouble and if fact was one of the best cars i have ever owned .
I put a new MAF in but thats all it needed and was a dream to drive , sold the car last sat and by monday i was still regretting the fact i sold it , so called the new owner and begged him to sell it back to me . He refused and i was left feeling like i had just sold my children .
Anyway as i said i never had a days problem with the car since i bought it then the new owner calls me and says it wont start and it wont recognise the key , gave him the code as he was a mechanic and had access to examiner , then two hours later calls me again to say the problem is that the car needs a new ECU and all the plugs are burnt out and engine is knackered .. too late i said cant take it back now
Anyway i think my car killed itself with separation anxiety as i never had any problems with it at all
Then new owner and bang car goes ape and dies .. how weird
He swears blind he did not touch the car .. i think it committed car hari kari

Sounds like you were lucky to sell it when you did.

I bought my Fiat coupe had the cambelt changed straight away, ran it everyday for 14 months clocking up 18,000 miles.

5 weeks after I sold it the cambelt slipped and wrecked the top of the engine.

I felt bad about it, but as far as I was concerned I paid £600 (at a specialist) to have the belts done and they didn't need doing again for 50,000 miles or so.
