147 2.0 tspark - Weird engine problem
Can anyone help with this one. 3 times over the last 2 days my 147 has had this problem, previously it was faultless.
At random times in the journey the engine will suddenly become very jerky when i lift off the throttle, almost like a bit of a misfire. When this happens, when i go up through the gears the engine revs suddenly jump up when i dip the clutch. For example: if i shift into 4th at 3000rpm, as i dip the clutch with my foot completely off the accelerator the revs climb to 3400rpm before dropping. it is almost as if the engine revs rise whenever i take my foot off the throttle (would explain the jerkieness?)
Whilst it was doing this i did a few full throttle drives, She is definately reving cleanly all the way to 6500rpm. No flat spots, no jerks. Just this odd rev jumping thing when the clutch goes down and the jerkieness on no throttle. Even more odd, my MPG seems better than ever and my last 100 miles (mix of town and countryside driving) has seen me return 34mpg. I don't think it has ever been that good.
Cheers in advance.
