That's interesting regarding the fake MAFs. How did you know it was fake? Is it safe to assume that if it has the security screws in that it isn't a fake?
It didn't have 'Bosch' written anywhere on it!
They did send it in a genuine Bosch box though, which was nice.
And no, don't assume that about the screws. This one had them. I think I paid about a tenner for a set of torx keys, and they had the hole in the middle to fit the pin.
They did send out some non-Bosch to a few people. Were gracious enough to refund or replace with Bosch though IIRC.
As I had fitted mine to the car first (as it came in a Bosch box, I assumed, stupidly that it was genuine
) they wouldn't refund mine unless it was faulty. My car wouldn't run at all with it fitted, so I'd say that is faulty!
They said I would have to buy another one from them, which they guaranteed would be genuine, and they would refund this when I returned the faulty fake MAF.
I received the new one, genuine this time, but never received a refund for the faulty fake one, as per the agreement.
