Engine mounts query!!!

Hey guys,

I'm after peoples opinions on the engine and gearbox mounts.

You may have seen my other thread on my juddering problem, if not here is a link to it: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-147-156-and-gt/189452-really-bad-judder-when-releasing-clutch.html

I have been under the car today and looked at my lower engine mounts.

The mount gearbox end has definate movement in it when rocking the gearbox.

The mount drivers side seemed to be fairly solid.

So hoping someone may have an idea as to how much movement should or shouldnt be in the mounts.

Also thinking this movement in the gearbox end could be the cause of my judder problem.

Cheers, Jase

If you can rock the engine at all, but! the best way is to take the mount off and inspect the seals often in V6 its the metal housing/bearing that packs in and should be evident in trying with some force to rock the engine. The mount i believe is only 2 or 3 screws and is a very easy job to do.
