Has My Head Gasket Gone Or Could It Be something else
Ok here goes:
This morning I get into my Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 JTS 2004 and it doe not start as smoothly as normal and I notice quite a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust. I drive it fine for 5 miles at which point it starts to judder and the motor system failure warning comes up on the dash. I still manage to drive it another 5 miles into work without too much smoke at this point and no overheating (except for me through worry).
Now I leave it parked for 4 hours and start it again and there is a shed load of white smoke. I check the engine and notice the coolant level is low. I now worry and check the oil in the car which appears to be normal with no white gunk anywhere.
I am thinking this could be a head gasket problem but I would like some advice.
Thanks In advance
