Battery disconnect- now engine warning light
Have just finished thorough checking(6 hours) and cleaning of contacts and relays, as advised by the many postings on the Selespeeed forum to fix the notorious '1st/3rd/N flashing display' and gear selection bug caused by muck, previous CS Tutela overflow and general WnT. In order to clean around the Sele unit, I removed battery and tray etc., after replacing battery and going out to test drive (it worked, problem has gone!!) the engine warning light has come on (yellow, on rev counter). As far as I know, there is no problem with car as It had a full Examiner diagnostic, all OK, and SW update, last week and has done several hundred miles since then without this light. All fluids are good, temp is good et etc. Anyone know if it needs a clearing/learn mode after battery disconnection.
PS I cannot afford AD at present otherwise I would buy one(even have an old laptop in garage hardwired to broadband so I can reference forum whilst doing dirty work. If anyone local can do it for a 10er, then i'll drive there.
