Alfa 147 Exhaust flexi section

Having just had the cam belt and variator changed imagine my wallets groan when I discover my exhaust has split at the flexi end whrere the cat is! So my question is can anyone recommend a good source for a replacement other than the Alfa part which I believe is over 800. Is ebay worth a snout?

i dont think you can change just the flexi unless you cut and weld the exhaust, as the flexi is connected to the cat's.
So you could get second hand cats and see if the flexi is any good on them, weigh the old cat in as it will be worth about 30.00 scrap value.

I feel for you, I had the same thing go soon after i purchased my first house. The cheapest place for me after a ring round was kwik fit beliveve it or not, although I did haggle over the price.

I also had the centre pipe replaced (which was on its way out) and a new tyre which cam to approx 750 pound.
