101 uses for an old camshaft variator

Well......only one use to be honest.

I recently changed my clutch and thought it wise to do the driveshaft oil seals at the same time.

Of course - I did not have a socket big enough to drift the new seals into the housings. It turned out that the old cam variator that, for some unknown reason, I hadn't thrown in the bin was the perfect size for the job (threaded end into/against the seal). It even has a handy raised metal bit on the end to hammer against.

So, next time you change your variator - keep the old one....could come in handy.
