Productive day today, Clutch fitted, although not without issues lol, check here: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...ew-clutch.html
gearbox back on, had to get a mate to pop over and help me lift it in as ive been doing everything else on my own :-(
All the main bolts back in, manifold on with new gaskets (nightmare to find and not cheap by any means), heatshield back, all breather pipes re fitted, found a split in one so that could be an improvement once fixed lol.
Engine and box back up on the 2 end mounts so its all in place now ready to have the remaining bolts fitted, driveshafts reconnected, rigid mount, and all electrics, gear linkage etc etc.....
But what a relief to have it back on its mounts with the new clutch fitted woohoo!
Left the engine last night balancing on 2 trolley jacks, was half expecting to go out this morning to find my jacks gone and the engine sat on the floor
Oh fitted the new aux belt, so easy with socket access to the tensioner bolt.
Have a new Slave cylinder ready to fit aswell bonus.
Just need to source the 3 front pipe gaskets now and pick up some new transmission fluid.
First job this morning was to drill out the stud which snapped off, not easy when i realised nearly all my drill bits are blunt from previous jobs with snapped bolts and studs lol. New nut and bolt on that ready to go now.
All in all a good day, hoping to have it cracked tomorrow :-)
