Cry Like A Baby Power cable came down on my car!

Yesterday morning a 11.5Kv power cable somehow came loose from a pylon and fell on my beautiful bella! Fortunately I was not in the car at the time and no one was hurt in the incident.

But the cable was dragged across my car's roof, wings, c-pillars and bonnet leaving horrible scars through the paint right down to the metal!

I have called the power company responsible for the cables with regards to an insurance claim. They said their legal team would respond within a week or so. But I'm not sure what else I should do. Should I inform my insurance company? Should I inform the police to get an accident reference number?

Has anything like this happened to anyone else here. It's such an unusual incident, no one I know has had anything like it happen to them before.

I would contact police just in case you need back up for insurance reasons. Also contact your insurance to tell them what has happened and what you have done so far

Agree with that, and point out to the power company that your car is unuseable in that condition, and that you intend to hire a car at their expense until its fixed...should sharpen the response......
