Alfa 156 Wheel Bearing trying to die...
i've got a dieing wheel bearing on my 156. The problem is i can't realy tell from which corner it comes...
There is a ratteling noise in wide left corners, especially when going 80 and more (kph) with the rear end getting a little "light". And it's getting urgent, fuel consumption has increased constantly and the noise is getting louder and louder....and since i'm on long distance trips i don't intend to provocate a total loss of the bearing on the Motorway... heared it for the first time on straight line driving today.....
I'm realy not shure if it's the left front wheel or one of the rears....is there a way i can check it myself? (i thought about lifting the car, releasing the brakes and rattle on the wheels but....i'm not convinced that this will work...)
Had anyone a bad bearing jet?
Which one was it?
Any tips for the changing are welcome too.
