Last year when I bought my 02 plate 147 2.0 Lusso, two guys I work with both bought new (second hand) cars.
The first was a 57 plate Audi A4. And the other was a 53 plate BMW 530.
Both abused me constantly about buying an Alfa and how unreliable they were.
This subsequently stopped from Mr BMW after the 4th visit to the garage for repairs, after which he declared that he had now spent more on repairs on his car than he actually spent on buying the thing.
And then Mr Audi went a bit quiet due to his gearbox practically falling out of the car, which obviously required a new one.
My Alfa, in the year I owned it (sadly having to sell it for practical reasons, rather than wanting to!) I spent the grand total of £0.00 on repairs.
So the tables have now been turned on Mr Audi and Mr BMW.
Mr BMW says "what do you expect from a car that's done 100k" I stated "well mine had done 93k I suppose that 7k makes all the difference does it?"
And Mr Audi just says "it's covered under the warranty so what does it matter?"
There's just no hope for some people! Head in the sand!
