The main thing to check for is whether the newer car has the "fly-by-wire" throttle assembly - your older one probably doesn't....the original throttle body for the cable throttle has an ECU fastened on with 3 bolts, the later one is fastened on with 4 bolts......
If the two cars use a different system, you'll have to keep the throttle body and ECU off the newer car - if they use the same system, you can use the 2.0 ECU, but you'll need to swap the code box and the chip from the key, too.
