the one thing that annoys me is the range indicator. On a long journey when you reach the last 1/8th of a tank the fuel warning light comes on, but range still says 100 miles or whatever, but then after it creeps down a wee bit more it says WARNING, RANGE LIMITED! then the range indicator just shows ---.
It's very annoying because I do a lot of long driving and like to challenge myself to see just how much i can eek out of a tank driving either vigourously, normal or conservatively. But when the --- comes up you just have to guess.
When the needle has been pointing straight to zero, I have managed to get 35-40 miles out of it which I was chuffed about (had a spare jerry can in the boot!).
My top fuel ranges so far are:
Vigourously: 408 miles
Normally: 452 miles
Conservatively: 526 miles
To a tank. Not bad for a 2 litre sele I'd say!
The upshot of it is don't worry about your instant MPG display, worry about the averageB display or how many miles you ACTUALLY get to a tank.
