Help required re - 156

Hi Folks
I have a 156 2.0ts lusso 47000 miles on clock which had cambelt changed prior to my purchase of car at 42000.
Recently on starting car (only after been sitting for approx 4 hours) there has been a grinding friction type noise which increases as i touch accelerator pedal, both when static and moving. The level seems to be in synch with the revs produced. The problem seems to disappear after approx 10 minutes of driving, but over past few days getting progressively worse.
Amy clues or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation

I'd start by popping the auxilliary belt off and see if the noise goes away. If it does, it's probably the idler or tensioner, but could be a/c pump, PAS pump or alternator...
