Hmmm new alfa owner-lots of problems

Hi fellow alfa owners.

I have recently bought a second hand 147 selespeed. 2004 model.
I love my baby so much, but I am having some problems and as a woman only have a halfearse clue when it comes to cars.

If someone can please give me some advise on some of these:

1. I have a ABS and VDC system failure, my tires are not the same brand so is that why?

2. I am also experiencing selespeed failure. This happens in traffice where my car doesn't want to go into 3rd gear. It works again only after switching my car off and on again.

Your help will be appreciated.

batteries are important on the selespeed they have extra load ... make sure the battery is up to the job and not fading quicker than it should. I think the ABS and VDC messages are a sign it could be in need of replacing. Most start to fail after 3-4 years ...

Yep, that sounds like you need a new Battery to me, Just get the battery checked out, on and off load voltages.

As long as your tyres are the same size, you should be OK.
