I've spent the past week trying to sort out new keys for our cars (most of ours were stolen in a burglary!
) by far, the most expensive and the most time consuming, have been replacement keys for the Alfa!
Our Corsa's new key and programming was less than 80 quid, the same for our Vectra was about 120 quid, but the cheapest I could get the 156 key for was 200 pounds
It appears keys can only be ordered from the main dealer who also charge more for programming.
The local Fiat dealer says that they need the car for and hour for programming, which is strange given that it only took the Vauxhall garage less than 5 minutes with a laptop to re-program the key codes for both the Vectra and Corsa
The key should be in from Italy the middle of next week.
There is a guy on the forum -Chris- who repairs/refurbishes your old key very reasonably, other than that, it seems it's a main dealer job!
