If its just the top part look where it hinges at the back when open - the two plastic tabs can be squeezed together a little and just pops off

Sorry thought it was just the top "lid" you wanted to replace.

If its a pre-facelift model like mine rotate the armrest til the whole is at 90* to console. The little panel on the bottom of the arm rest ( nearest to the console ) pops out and a 6mm allan key bolt holds whole rest in

If you are thinking of getting rid of the cloth armrest, I could be interested. I really only need the lid as I bought my car with broken hinges, but would be happy to take the whole thing. Sorry to butt into the thread, but have been on the lookout for one for ages!

Hi thanks this is useful info!!

This panel then - is it a curved panel that is on the armrest pivot part?
Or the flat panel to the front that's on the base?

The little flat panel on my one has tabs that sit behind the side bits so it won't pop off...
