Don't know about Avons ... I use Dunlop SportMaxx and am more than happy with them. I'd just make sure they are good quality and probably aim for a W,Y or Z rating as they are going to stick better when hot ... I think the V and lower ratings are going to be harder compounds and more likely to slip on the corners.

Of course you could get a 2nd set of wheels and some Toyo racing tyres ;-)

gazza i've already priced the toyo's 126 off tyre shopper but my mate has just put some on his focus st for 95 a corner the only problem is i need to put tyres on sort of now ish if i could wait till may time then i think i would put toyos on but i'm not sure if they will last that long. i might stick to the avons they have not let me down yet.
