GT 3.2 V6 whine?

I've not owned my V6 GT all that long but it has recently developed an odd whine noise. It seems to change in pitch dependant on road speed rather than engine speed, almost like a turbo whistle. I only notice it at low speeds but that's likely because the engine drowns it out at higher speeds..

Anybody have any idea what it's likely to be? Damaging? Easy to fix? I only bought the car a couple of months ago but it's a 100 mile drive back to the dealer so if it's just a fluid change or something it's easiest done locally.. It was filly serviced an had the cambelt/water pump changed as part of the pre-sale.

Any ideas?

difficult one to be sure about.

perhaps something is rubbing againsti the wheel/tyre. you could jack the car up, remove each wheel one at a time, and check behind. ensure things like the brake lines, ABS sensor wiring, brake pad depth sensor wire (front left only if using original pads), etc, are all properly secured. look for signs of rubbing (shiny and clean areas) on the tyres and suspension/wiring parts.
