Can you fit ISO-FIX mounts to a 156 trim/spec model that doesn't have them?
I'm looking for a an external facelift (around 2004/2005) 156 2.4 JTD in Veloce or maybe Ti spec to buy.
ISO-FIX is a must for the kids.
According to the parkers spec/trim level guide, the Ti spec doesn't have ISO-FIX fitted.
So, it makes sense that all the models body must have the ISO-FIX bolt holes, but only the spec models that have ISO-FIX will have them fitted.
Q. Can you fit the ISO-FIX brackets to one of the cars that doesn't already have it fitted?
Q. Has anyone done this?
I don't know if the mount holes will have the same bolts in them without the mount brackets or if they will be sealed up in some manner, making it more difficult.
I would also have to get the brackets from somewhere (Alfa dealer probably k'ching, or an Alfa scrappy).
If this is relatively simple to do, it would expand the trim level model 156's i could consider buying. As i'm Scotland and there's rarely much on offer up here would be very helpful.
