Mmm the 'look back' factor, important that is. But what troubles have experienced? and what MPG do you get out of it?
I don't mind spannering a car, all part of the fun for me, so I'm just after a heads-up on what to expect.
Jobs tackled so far - (some purely maintenance / some cosmetic)
Interior changed to leather
New wishbones / lowered suspension
Aircon recharged (by kwikfit
GTA style lamps fitted
New discs / pads all round (ferrodo DS 2500's on the front)
Replaced split power steering pipe
BMC CDA fitted (old airbox was FUBAR)
Replaced ball joint at base of gear lever (unit had cracked & couldn't select gear)
Plugs & oil / oil filter renewed
Upper front strutbrace added - front lower still to fit
Cambelt is on the horizon, would like to tackle myself, but with 'supervision' & of course the correct tools
I don't bother with MPG figures TBH - don't cover too many miles & I look at it as being smiles per gallon
