over boost problem on 1.9jtd gt 16v

I have (po238) over boost problem. The engine management light comes on everytime when i accelerate past 3k or when the turbo has to work harder eg going up a hill or in a higher gear which is a real pain. Then i'm stuck with limp home mode every other day and i have to pull over and turn off/on my ignition so i can drive at a normal speed. So far i have fitted a new boost sensor, cleaned egr then blanked it off to rule that out and now just fitted new maf sensor to no avail Checked hoses for any splits, cracks etc and couldn't see any. Wastegate seems a little corroded but actuator moves up and down and i don't think its sticking so car is going back in to the garage aaaarrrrrrgh. Not sure what else i can try apart from replace the wastegate and then replace turbo or clean variable vains. Only had the car for a month and its costing me a fortune already.
Oh i had my car re-mapped by Angel tuning when i bought it, asked if they ever had any issues after re-mapping and they said "no and we have been doing this for years"
Sorry to go over similar issues but i'm running out of ideas
Can anyone please help? have i missed anything?

yeah, your re-map is overboosting ask them to turn it down a bit. Is the egr turned off in the software as well?

The remap will be aggravating the symptoms, but a dirty turbo will be causing the problems, no doubt about that.

when you say boost sensor do you mean manifold map sensor?also if it has one check overboost valve and pipework for splits(follow turbo vnt actuator pipe back),also on stilos its mounted low down and can get wet and cause problems.

Since my initial problem with my over boost fault on my gt i have now rectified this problem hooray!!.
It was a dirty turbo after all and instead of taking it out and sending it to a turbo specialist i simply bought a turbo cleaner from a company called Innotec on the internet and sprayed it directly into the turbo outlet.
So if anyone who has the same fault code (po238 over boost) and its not the egr and you have checked the vnt pipe for splits well this is definatley worth ago for 35- and you could probably do it yourself
thanks once again for everyones help
