Buying an Alfa 147. What do I look out for?
First post here, so hello to everyone!
I'm about to buy a car after having a transit van for the past year. Should have about £3500 to spend and whilst looking at the usual Focus', Fiestas and Astras etc I looked at Alfa on auto trader and was quite surprised to find I might be able to get a 147! WOOP!
My concern is the reliability, are there any 147 owners out there that can ease my mind?
I'd really love to go for an Alfa. Far more exciting than a Focus and Ive already had one of those!
I have found for example,
44,000 miles, 5 Door Hatchback, Manual, 2.0 Petrol, LOW MILEAGE, Metallic Blue/Graphite, ABS, AC Climate control, Cruise control, Heated front seats, Folding rear seats, Lumbar support, Height adjustable drivers seat, Radio/CD, Rear headrests, Steering wheel reach adjustment, 3x3 point rear seat belts, Steering wheel rake adjustment, PAS, Immobiliser, Side airbags, Electric windows, Alloy wheels, Electric door mirrors, Multi-function steering wheel, Audio remote control, Front head restraints, Front fog lights, Passenger airbag, Remote central locking, Drivers airbag, Trip computer, Space saver spare wheel, Alarm, Body coloured bumpers, Front armrest. GREAT CAR, GREAT VALUE!! £3,395 ONO. £3,395 ONO.
Can anyone tell me what to look for when checking an Alfa out? What kinda of mileage is ok to buy used etc?
