Ok, thats what I was thinking, but that'll have to wait til the weekend. Was hoping someone had the same problem and could give me an idea if I was on the right track!
I've heard of un-plugging the MAF to see if it drives better, but not sure I understand this test properly. Should I notice a dramatic improvement if the MAF is at fault? As I didn't get an improvement, and the car cut out when unplugged, I'm guessing its something else? Air filter was changed last weekend, in the hope it was just obstructing the air flow causing the bad running! Any other ideas on what it may be? just to prepare myself for the potential repair bill I get on saturday!
EDIT: ECU reset gave a mild increase in performance, but engine light is still on.
