Nivomats on my SW

Having had rear suspension noises for the last few weeks I today discovered that the car has self levelling and the shocks are past it!

I got an even bigger shock to discover the cost, 402 quid per shocker plus vat!!!!

Having looked around and having little understanding of mechanics I fancy the Koni Sport Kit from Larkspeed. The Koni site says not including Self levellers but I guess it is possible with new mounts I believe. This kit is about the limit I want to spend really especially after install costs are factored in.

Can anyone confirm this will fit. I did a similar conversion on a Volvo V70 a year or so ago and that kit was just shocks and springs. I've heard the nivomat springs are softer than standard springs.

Thanks in advance guys!

Hi Botsy,

How did you get on fixing your car, I have a similar one 2.4 JTD SW with the self levelling and I'd like to change the rears to Koni adjustables with standard springs but I don't know what springs to buy as I'd need to find the numbers from a 2.4 JTD SW without self levelling I expect.

Already had Bilstein Sprint shocks fitted to the front with standard springs and the front end is great now, just the rear to sort out. Trying to avoid lowered springs just want to be sure I can get OEM spec. rear springs to fit the Koni's from Larkspeed.
