Electrickery - I Don't Understand!!!
Odd one this. The high-mounted brake light on the spoiler has stopped working.
I've checked everything. I've stripped down the lamp itself and checked all the bulbs - they are all OK and the lamp unit gives a total resistance of around 1.5 ohms. I've checked the voltage to the lamp - a steady 11.9 volts. I've checked continuity and earths of the wires to the lamp - all OK and all other lights on the car are working.
I now seem to have run out of things to check and I'm out of ideas.
The battery voltage is 11.9V, which is of course a little low, but I still can't work out why that would kill the high-stop light and nothing else.
Anyone have any ideas?
