Hot day, windows open, Green Day very loud on the stereo, about 100kph through the roadworks.

Felt a little twitch at the back, put it down to bad surface. Roadworks finish, up to about 130kph going past a truck, very noisy, thought it was the truck! Then realised it was my car.

Pulled over and saw the rear right, 2 month old Michelin Energy, holding the car up on it's sidewall!! No damage to the alloy but the tyre sidewall was worn about half way through.

Space saver on, then off the autobahn, tyre shop and a new tyre.

Every other time I have had a puncture, it was obvious. This time there was no drama.

Thanks to the Sportwagon and to Michelin!

I'd imagine on an Autobahn it could be so much worse, especially at 130kph (80mph)

Mine picks up punctures all the bloody time, mostly from nails and screws as I work in a DIY store

Thanks - for the lack of drama! Plus the tyre was a lot cheaper in Germany than Belgium.

Had a front blow out in my ex girlfriends Twingo while doing 170kph (downhill). Bit like her, not something i want to repeat!
