It's the hydraulic cam lifters, not charging properly with oil until it's thin enough when hot or at least they should be........ But It needs to to get through very tiny holes in the lifters which in turn often become blocked. Try flushing the engine and change the oil & filter for 5w50 oil (cheap will do), run the car for 200 miles then dump/ flush again and refill with quality 10w60 oil. Forte do a hydraulic valve additive oil that can put in to ease the problem.
To prevent it coming back, change the oil every 5,000 miles
Yessssss! Nero black, Black momo leather, sunroof and air con in a 156 2.0 twin spark..... = Heaven, pure heaven
Anyone can give advice on cars like "replace this part, replace that"... Start with the simplest solution and then work your way through it logically... Its a hell of a lot easier and cheaper!
