They all go rusty. Even 57 plates that I viewed had rusty nuts and they are only 18 months old. I looked at a great looking GT Blackline, which has good looking wheels, but the nuts were all very rusty and spolt the effect.
If you have got locking wheel nuts you should have 4 spare nuts. Wire brush them (or wire brush in drill is easier), then paint Hamerite silver and leave to dry. Once dry change them on one wheel. Then you can do the next 4. That way your car is never off the road and you don't have to take any of the wheels off......... thats how I did them on my 156.
