156 rear brake pad renewa
Hi , I've just changed my Twinspark for a newer ( 54 ) JTS. The rear pads are down
to the metal as bought, causing horrendous graunching.
I went to change the pads and discs yesterday and ran into an issue with the
caliper piston being extended so far, I couldn't refit with the new pads.
the car has LUCAS calipers and it looks as if the piston requires a key to wind it
back in ?
Am I right in assuming this ? We tried turning it with long nosed pliers but it didn't
seem to retract much, if at all.................I didn't want to try just pushing it back
under pressure without asking if anyone has done this particular job on a car with
these calipers fitted.
Any info anyone has on this would be greatly appreciated.
