New to the forum but not to Alfa's (I had a 147 2.0 TS for a couple of years and LOVED it!!)
I recently bought a 156 2.0 TS Selespeed from Auction and upon collecting the car realised the battery was flat, I jumped it from a battery pack and the car started fine. Then I noticed that the selespeed gearbox warning light was flashing
and that the selespeed display was blank!!
I engaged first gear fine and drove off, when I noticed the rev counter itself was very erratic and not accurate whatsoever.
Anyway, the car drove fine in normal and city modes until I came to turn off the main road into a side road when the car seemed to jump into neutral
I quickly selected first, which luckily engaged and it drove OK the rest of the way, this was not a long drive BTW (about 5 miles).
I have taken the battery off to charge it up first of all, but has anyone got any idea what could be causing any of the probelms described above?
Any help much appreciated
