Thanks for the advice Guys, I dropped the car off today to have the clutch replaced and he put the on diagnostics and a steering wheel sensor message came up, so he called Alfa, we found out the previous owner had the steering column replaced and they think that the correct torque settings were not used when refitting it, Alfa say that this is a common problem that they see after a column has been replaced or worked on. The car dealers I purchased the car from are going to arrange for it to go to Alfa garage to sort the problem. So hopefully it will be sorted soon. Iam going to check the cables under the steering column just in case as per Dephor. Fingers crossed for you rjh400, hope it stays off mate.
Does anyone know if these messages coming up would be an MOT failure?
