Drain plug & filler hole locations & mtf
Sorry to bump a clearly ancient thread, but want to change the transmission oil in the wife's gt (1.9 jtd 55 plate, manual) and have found different sources of info on plug number and location of fill point.
Are there 2 plugs, 3 plugs, a dipstick under the steering fluid res, or....
Any clarity would be great.
Also, I'm going to assume the drain plug will die coming out, as it always happens to me, so does anyone know the size, thread and length of the plug so I can get a replacement before I head on in to it?
Other than a service last weekend, this is my first time working on the car (apart from installing a set of quad bi zenon projectors), so am not familiar with her, hence me asking as don't want to pull the wrong plug or stick ool where I shouldn't lol.
Lastly, I assume the QX manual transmission oil from euro car parts would be fine, but they have 2 75w90 fully syth, one that says 'EP 75w90' and the other is '75w90 LS', anyone know the difference, which one is best, what the EP and LS mean?
Edit: just saw that LS is for limited slip axles, so I assume I do not need that one?
Cheers all, Upex
