As the pics show, it is possible, although time consuming and hard work, to fit a new clutch and DMF to a 2.4 on the road outside your house!
Not the best option I know, but I have no driveway, garage or pot of cash to pay people to do it! Car was on stands for three weeks, wife not happy
The hardest bits are definitely getting the gearbox back on to the engine and refitting the subframe, especially single handed....
The clutch is an uprated kit from CG motorsport, bought unused from a forum member in fact. Had to replace the crank oil seal as in pic 1, and I also put a new Valeo flywheel on, although the old one is well within spec as it turns out (for sale if anyone needs one)
Pics also show my shiny new wishbones, drop links and (just about visible) GTA front arb. Now also fitted but not in the pics are all round Koni sport adjustables and Koni springs, 17" Selespeed alloys (from another forum member!) and 225/45 Toyo Proxes.
Still needs some work: MAF dodgy (currently disconnected), new auxiliary pulley wheel, airbag light on, one electric window faulty, scratch down passenger side.....
All in good time, getting the basics right first. Better brakes and remap to come.
