156 Selespeed owner?
I am the prowd owner of a 2001 159 Selespeed!
Unfortunately it's knackered I spent just over £1400 on replacing most of the engine over the past 12 weeks.
It started when the heater started to over heat around February time, the garage replaced one of the chips which apparently controlled the heating. Two weeks later the heater exploded while my missus was driving it home, the heater, cam belt, the pipe connecting the engine to the fan where replaced and the head gasket re built. I was told this would solve the problem but wasn't told the heating going along with blowing the head gasket would have damaged the bottom of the engine.
anyway one of the cylinders seized and I was told the bottom of the engine was done in?
I love the car and really wanted to keep it, if not I need to shift it on. The car is in perfect condition with just over 100k on the clock is there anyone who could give me an idea of what the cost would be to do the work. Everything worked perfect until that one first problem.
The guy who did the work is a friend but doesn't really work on alfa's hence the run of problems caused. *give me a shout if you could give me a price* Cheers
