Hi, thanks for the reply, tyres have not been changed as they are good all round, as for the maf, the engine runs sweet (at the moment!) plus the battery has not been diconnected
Could you tell me more about checking the maf though please?
Also the brake lights are , or seem to be working as they should, does this mean the brake light switch is ok?
is there a test i can perform on it?
many thanks for your help as I really am pulling my hair out with this problem
not neserseraly changed, just been up in the air and put back down straight, unplug the maf and start the car, then plug it back in then start the car.
err..... take it some where safe you can stand on the brakes from say 30.
as the stilo and the 147 share the same electrics, try fiats reset, up to the limiter 3 times.
idle - limiter, back to idle for a couple secs x3 turn off, leave for about 3 mins, turn ignition to mar for 10 secs, the off for 10secs, then start and leave for a bit, then drive, stand on the brakes a few times.
or leave the battery off for a few hours and see of that rids them. how olds the battery by the way?
