Help GT Servicing - Where and How much?

Hi all,
My '57 plate GT 1.9JTDm is due for it's 2nd service (24k miles) and it's the first time I've had to service an Alfa only slightly worried as most issues i'd imagine are warranty covered at this point and it's not been a bad year other than locking rear seatbelt and scarily uneven inside front tyre wear (which I've read loads of useful info on other threads about - thanks ).

My questions are:
Must I go to a main dealer in order to maintain warranties etc?
How much should I expect to pay for this service?
I live in Derby where there is a main dealer, are they any good?

Any advice much appreciated

Intaservices in Leicester are excellent. No issues with maintaining the warranty either.

I recently got a 24K service on my GT, I went with an independent local to me for the first time and I had the same concerns as you but i can confirm that the warranty is maintained, i got a stamp in the book, the service interval reminder on the dash was reset and they used all genuine Alfa parts, they even showed me their delivery notes and the empty boxes to prove it, not that I doubted them. I got quoted by 2 Alfa dealers 410 and 380. Through the independent I paid 184 and had better customer service (even got offered a cuppa and a lift home) and a good feeling that they cared about my car almost as much a I do . As long as you stick with recommendations on this forum like the one above I don't think you can go wrong at all. I will never go to a dealer for servicing again.

Good luck!
