variator soleniod problem
Hi people, I've posted a few threads on here with my 156 misfire.
First the engine light was on, you could drive it from cold and 300 yards it would work fine then a misfire happens and won't go away. Had this diagnosed as p03010 and p03030 faulty coil packs. These were replaced and still the problem is there. I disconnected the variator solenoid and the lights off and it drives fine!
My question is would the fault be with the solenoid?
The timing was done with locking cam lobes but I'm thinking the solenoid must be working to move the cam to make it misfire???
Disconnected the car runs fine ticks over fine but is a bit gutless
