156 exhaust blowing problem

Hello all

2001 156 2.5 V6 - Ive noticed my exhaust has started blowing towards the front of the car. Ive gotten underneath and taken a few pics. What i think ive observed is blowing at the joint where the front pipe enters another part of the exhaust. But im not big on exhausts so am unsure. Could someone take a look at the pic and give me an idea what part needs replacing. Is it the front pipe ? Is it a seal thats come off the joing ? Can i get hold of a seal and put it back on the joint ? There doesnt seem to be any rotting in the area. It just appears that one pipe slots into the other.

Any help appreciated

remove it13mm [ rusted down to 1/2" ] nuts x 6 & the lambda sensor x 1 .... remove cable too, leaving sensor attached.

then get *some-one* to weld it.

Thanks for the replies.

SEARs im not sure what youre saying. Are you saying remove the front pipe, grind the rust back to bare healthy metal and get someone to weld it back on ?

I took it to a local workshop who quoted 280 to fit a new front pipe. And i contacted a main dealer who quoted me 198 for the front pipe. Can you get front pipes any cheaper than this ?
